A Brief Philips Baby Monitor Review

I’ve gone through several baby monitors but I found the Philips Avent Basic baby monitor to provide the best value and the most effective. This Philips monitor is one of the most popular baby monitors out in the market. I trust the baby brand Avent and I have found Philips products to be reliable and well made, so I knew I was getting a good deal with the Philips baby monitor.

In comparison with other baby monitors that I have personally tried, the Philips Avent monitor uses DECT technology which means that I am able to get extremely clear sound quality and I can also transmit a static free signal. This provides me with a great signal from a total of 60 different channels, from a range of as much as 330 meters. Even when I use other home appliances as well as my mobile phone, I don’t suffer from any signal interference on my Philips monitor which is really convenient.

It is discreet and easy to use, since the parent unit can easily be clipped on for mobility. I can adjust the volume as needed, increasing it if I’m watching TV or have the washing machine on, or lowering it when it’s more quiet. This is really handy in situations where I need to be away from my child for a few hours such as preparing his meal or cleaning up the nursery or just relaxing on my own.

I can use the Avent baby monitor for an entire day until I need to recharge it for eight hours. The indicator lights are helpful to remind me when I need to recharge the batteries. This really helps to keep you aware so you are not caught off guard when the battery suddenly dies.

An excellent characteristic available on this Philips baby monitor may be its talk back feature, which makes it much like a walkie-talkie or intercom. I'm able to call out to a family member for help if I ever need someone with me in the room, or I'm even able to speak with my baby to make it appear as if I’m in the room with him. There is a perfect night light available on the nursery unit which is convenient as it provides a soft lighting inside the room.

Knowing that my baby is safe is a good feeling, but even better, knowing that if something goes wrong, I am notified. This is a good thing. This baby monitor has never failed me yet, and according to all the reviews from their other owners, it has not let anyone down either.
